Blair BuckinghamMay 2, 2017
Blair marked his last day as the day he beat his 25 year fight with MS. In death, we hope he has new found mobility to do all the things that he loved. Fiercely independent, Blair lived each day on his own terms and took every opportunity to do the things he loved to do such as hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. He loved his career in the Saskatchewan Parks and Wild Fire Management departments until his illness with MS forced an early, unwanted retirement. Blair had a special spot in his heart for his son Thomas Buckingham , daughter-in-law Erika Buckingham and granddaughters Ava and Khloe Buckingham. He found enough words in his last days to tell the girls that they were beautiful. Blair is survived by his sisters Sherron Scott and Lynne Polonich and their extended families along with his cousin and friend, Bev Cantin. Also endeared to him were many good friends and extended family members who all rallied to provide him with support, many of whom were able to say their good-byes in person. He was predeceased by his parents, Allan and Helen Buckingham as well as several beloved friends and favourite pet dogs. At his request, a party will be held in lieu of a funeral. We’re sure he and his departed relatives and best friend Blaine will be looking down on the event as we honour and salute his life. Arrangements are in care of Mourning Glory Funeral Services, (306) 978-5200.
