DONALD M. TRAILL

1934 – 2017

It is with sadness the family of Don Traill announces his passing on October 31, 2017.  Dad was raised in Prince Albert, then moved to Saskatoon. He worked for the City of Saskatoon for 38 years and took great pride in the positions he held with the City.  Once retired, Dad and Mom continued on living a very active life.  His social activities included golfing, riding his bike and meeting many friends, often a couple of times a day, for a quick coffee and visit.  Church was very important to our parents and they served in many capacities.  Most importantly Dad loved when the family could all get together, either at their house or a local restaurant – the more the merrier!  He is survived by his loving wife, Beverley; daughters, Brenda (Ken) and Barbara (Rodney); as well as his granddaughters – his pride and joy, Jillian (Riley), Jacquelyn (Mikael), Shannon (Ian), Sydney; and great grandson, James.  Don also leaves behind his sister, Betty; brothers-in-law, Willy (Ellen) and Al; sister-in-law, Margaret; and many nieces and nephews.  Don was predeceased by his parents, Hugh and Pauline Traill; mother-in-law, Agnes Penner; siblings, Wesley, Helen, Stan (Ina) and Irene, and brothers-in-law, Gordon and Ronald; son-in-law, Sidney.  A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4 at the Saskatoon Salvation Army Temple, 38 Bateman Crescent.  The family would like to thank the staff at Samaritan Place for the compassionate care they provided.  Memorial Donations may be made to The Salvation Army, Samaritan Place, or a charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements in care of John Schachtel – MOURNING GLORY FUNERAL SERVICES (306) 978-5200.
