Jeanne Margaret Trach

January 10, 1931 – August 27, 2017

Jeanne passed away peacefully on August 27, 2017 in Saskatoon, SK. Jeanne was an independent woman (to the very end!) who lived an active life. Her working life was spent at Toronto General Trust, CKOM Radio Station and the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan. She kept busy with sports throughout most of her life – softball as a young woman and bowling for much of her adult life. She also enjoyed watching curling and was an avid Saskatchewan Roughriders fan. She liked gardening and was able to pursue that passion in her niece’s garden at Kilburn Avenue. Travel was another passion for her and she enjoyed trips to many places all over the world. In her retirement years, meeting with her coffee buddies at A&W and visiting with her friends at the condo were daily pleasures. Throughout her life, she always made time for her nieces and nephews. As young children, they looked forward to the treats she would bring (especially the ice cream!), the 'Auntie Jeanne boxes' full of fun stuff and her beautifully wrapped Christmas presents. As they grew older, she would take them to Baba and Dido's place to visit or to her place in Saskatoon where they enjoyed outings with her in the exciting big city. The Shrine Circus was a favourite. As young adults, many of them moved to Saskatoon for work or education and everyone knew to 'go to Auntie Jeanne' if any help was needed. As youngsters, they couldn't understand why she wasn't voted CFQC Citizen of the Year because she did so many good things! She was always the first to send cards for birthdays, anniversaries and other important events including the births of great- and great-great-nieces and nephews. In respect to Jeanne’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service. A private Family Memorial will be held at a later date. Rest well Auntie Jeanne. We hope you enjoy a bowl of your famous clam chowder as you cheer on the next Roughriders win! Arrangements in care of Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200
