Joan Esther Campbell

April 30, 1941 – July 10, 2017

It is with sorrow in our hearts that we announce the passing of Joan Campbell, at the age of 76, at the Saskatoon City Hospital. With loved ones in heart, Joan passed away peacefully. Joan was the only child to Arthur and Charlotte Tuppen, born and raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick. As a young girl, Joan was involved in many sports activities such as speed skating and skiing. While attending business college, Joan met her first husband Carl Lewis, they married in 1959. With Carl being in the Armed Forces, they initially lived overseas where they started a family. Joan was an attentive and a loving mother, caring for and raising a family on army bases in Europe and across Canada over the course of 22 years. Finally settling in Saskatoon, Joan embarked on creating a career of her own. Always involved in her family, Joan encouraging her children to excel in sports and their careers. Joan had a fond heart for stray animals that usually become family pets. Joan re-married in 1984 to Robert Campbell and they started a new life of their own. They enjoyed travel and time spent with family and friends. Upon retiring Bob and Joan built their dream home on the South Saskatchewan River to enjoy their passion for nature. Joan is survived by her: husband Robert Campbell of 33 years; children, Carrie Lee (Lyle Williams) and their children Chris (Sara) and Levi of Saskatoon, Brent and his children Olivia and Dane of Vancouver, Marlene (Norman Brassard) and their children Shanelle and Selena of Prince Albert, Koreen (Len Kincart) and their children Devan (Jordan) and Brooke of Saskatoon. Joan was predeceased by her: parents, Arthur and Charlotte Tuppen; step-father, Stanley Merrett; brothers-in-law Richard and Neil Campbell; and granddaughter Victoria Kincart. Please join us in honouring her memory and celebrating her life on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from Windsor Chapel, 704 Windsor Street, Saskatoon Sask. Interment at a later date.
