Dad in his younger years worked on the highways, in the oil fields and as a firefighter in Saskatoon before taking up his passion as a full-time rancher outside of Dundurn for 40 plus years. Dad researched and enjoyed telling the history of his Métis heritage which he was proud of; as well as his family’s early settlement of the Dundurn area. He was committed to the conservation of the prairie grasslands and the wildlife that inhabited it. Dad will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
The family wishes to thank Dr. L. Pawluck and Dr. Norm Joanis for their exceptional care they provided to Dad in his later years. The family would also like to thank Dr. Caspar Bell and Dr. S. Valiani in Emergency and in the ICU of the Royal University Hospital for their passionate care. As per Dad’s request there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place and internment will occur at a later date at Spring Creek Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ducks Unlimited. A Celebration of Life will occur in May in Dundurn.
