Olga Nasewich

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Olga Shirley Nasewich (nee Rezansoff) on February 1st, 2018 after a long, courageous 6 year battle with cancer.  Olga was a true fighter and never let this terrible illness get her down.  Olga was born on December 10, 1945 in Kamsack, Sask.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years Peter; two sons, Jason and Jerrod (Julie), granddaughters Maegan and Amy, brother Dan (Gail) Rezanoff, sister-in-law Audrey Rezanoff, sister-in-law Claudia Nasewich, numerous nieces and nephews, best friends of over 40 years Lois Rigby and Pat Buckland and numerous close friends.  Olga was predeceased by her parents Mike and Helen Rezansoff,  her brothers Sam Rezansoff and Ernie Rezanoff. Early on, Olga worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs for 6 years in Saskatoon.  She then began working at St. Pauls Hospital in the Emergency/Admitting Department for 29 years until her retirement in 2006. Olga had many interests.  She enjoyed visiting with all her family and friends, playing card games (she’d never pass up on a game of Kaiser), collecting antiques and collectibles, tending to well cared for flower beds and gardens, craft making and listening to her favorite musicians Elvis Presley and Johnny Reid. Olga was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She was an extremely generous, kind and caring person who would do anything for her family and friends. She will be forever missed. The family gives everyone who cared for Olga at St. Paul’s Hospital, Palliative Care Services their greatest gratitude for the amazing care she received in her final days. At Olga’s request, a funeral service will not be held.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Olga’s memory to Saskatoon St. Paul’s Hospital Palliative Care Services c/o St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation 1702 - 20th Street West Saskatoon, Sk.
