It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Shirley, age 79, of Asquith, SK. Shirley is lovingly survived by her children April (Wendell) Trotchie of Asquith and Amber (Calvin) Black of Saskatoon; grandchildren Kendall (Kyle Pankratz) Trotchie, Kyle (Sara Anderson) Trotchie, and Hailey Black; great-granddaughters Andee and Lyncoln Pankratz. Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings Evelyn (Wayne), Jim (Kelly), Ron (Eve); sisters and brothers-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years Joe; her parents Pat and Birdie Dwyer; brother Arnie and sister-in-law Faye Dwyer; sister Marje and brother-in-law Clarence Kerfoot. Shirley was born and raised in Biggar, SK. She married Joe in 1962 and they spent the majority of their years together in Asquith. Some of Shirley’s favourite past times were baking, gardening, spending summers camping and fishing, and shopping with her girls. Time spent with her family is what she cherished most. We thank the nurses and staff at Porteous Lodge for their compassionate care of our mother during her stay of nearly 5 years. A Graveside Service to Celebrate Shirley’s Life will be held at the Asquith Cemetery on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with a lunch at the New Horizons Hall in Asquith to follow.
