Tori Hanson

March 1, 2000 – May 15, 2017

So much to say about T…. Tori was from a very early age blessed with a great sense of humour, it provided laughter in our house and with her peers until her final day. What made Tori connect with so many different types of friends, was she could laugh at herself and in doing so she seemed to make all those around her more comfortable in their own skin. This humour followed her into all her sporting activities which is where Tori loved to make new friends. Tori’s main goal on every new team was to make every girl on that team her friend. It didn’t matter if they competed against each other in the past, they would be friends…often within a few practices,Tori had completed her first goal of the year. Tori’s greatest attribute to her team was the ability to not only see others succeed and shine, but to act as though it was her who was shining. Tori understood the importance of being a great teammate and how it ultimately helped in everyone’s success. Tori grew up around the gym with her mother coaching and early on idolizing her older sister and then being an idol to her two younger sisters. Tori was the glue in our family, able to mediate or manipulate all of us with a goofy face or a laugh that filled the room. She made large family gatherings worth attending for many. We know the tears we cry will never go away but we hope these will be joined by stories of laughter. In lieu of flowers, please hug your children, hug your parents and not only cherish this life, but live it in every way you can; most importantly, help others fight to keep living it. Tori was especially loved and is survived by her parents, Stacy and Chad, her sisters, Taylor, Abby and Drew, her Grandma’s Bette and Diana, her boyfriend Keenan, and the rest of her family and friends.
