Surrounded by her loving family, Mary passed away peacefully on Monday, April 30th, 2012 at Royal University Hospital at the age of 60.  She was born on October 17th, 1951 in Toisan, Guangdong, China and emigrated from Hong Kong to marry Tom Mark of Saskatoon in 1975. Mary was predeceased by her father, Siu Cheong Yu in Saskatoon; grandfather, Yu Ng in Honolulu, Hawaii; and grandmother, Wong Yook Ngor in Hong Kong.  Mary is survived by her mother, Lan Heung Yu; husband of 37 years, Tom ( Tun Fong) Mark; her devoted daughters, Annie (Allan) Yee of Calgary and grandson, Alexander, and Kit (Nathan) Degenhart of Saskatoon and granddaughter, Nola; sister, Leslie; brothers Peter (Yvonne) Yu, Michael (Jenny) Yu, Johnny (Grace) Yu and her numerous nephews and nieces. Mary took pleasure in simple things in life such as listening to music, enjoying great food, and appreciating the beauty of fresh flowers.  She lived each day to the fullest. Family was paramount to Mary.  She was instrumental in uniting her family in Saskatoon. Mary’s greatest pride was to see the growth and success of her two daughters and the expansion of their families. The precious gift of her two grandchildren in the last year has given Mary tremendous joy. We will miss her spontaneous laughter and sense of humor. The family would like to graciously thank the EMS team, the RUH ER staff, and CCU nurses Stefanie and Nancy. A very special thanks to Dr. Froh and Dr. Orvold for their extraordinary care. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Saskatoon Chinese Alliance Church (108 25th Street West),  officiated by Reverend J. Wilson Khan. Interment will take place in the Chinese section of Woodlawn Cemetery, Saskatoon, SK. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan (279 3rd Ave. N, S7K 2H8).
