Helen Wheatly was a composed, strong woman who I adored as a child and admired as I grew into a women. She expected a lot of me and I am the confident professional working mother I am today because of her. Thank you Granny Grant, you instilled strength in me. You triumphed a life of many hardships and lived life to the fullest. Being the only grandparent in my life you mean a great deal to me and always will. I have many happy childhood mermories because of you, especially loved those birthday parcels, you were always on time and so thoughtful. Most of all, I wear your engagement ring with pride as it represents the love you shared with Art, the love between a grand daughter and her grand-mother, the love you gave us all so equally. Will miss you lots, but you need to rest now. Wish I could be there to pay be heartfelt respects. I guess I am on the wrong coast for that. Have been thinking of you a lot over this past week and telling my children, Rowan and Carrington about their Great Granny Grant. We will make sure to keep your memory alive through stories and live each day to the fullest with joy. I hope yuour strength will live on through me and my children. You were a great women. Lots of Love xoxoxoxox Deidre Rozon-MacPherson

I wish to add my condolences to the family of Mrs Wheatley. I was her realtor when she sold her apartment in Port Coquitlam and moved to Saskatoon, and for a long time after I would send her a calendar at Christmas. When she received it she never failed to call me and thank me and we would have a chat about Poco and her new life in Saskatoon. A true lady I was privileged to know, and who caused a lump in my throat when I saw the notice of her passing. May she rest in peace.
