Desmond's peaceful passing occurred at his residence with his family holding his hands. He is dearly loved and remembered by his wife, Rosaleen; sons, John Carroll, and Paul (Nancy) Carroll all of Toronto; ex daughter-in-law, Angela Kerr; step grandson, Connor Gilbert; one brother, Liam (Joan) Carroll of Ireland. Desmond was born in Dublin, Ireland to William and Mary Carroll. While descendant from Kings, Desmond remained humble and modest in his life and never felt above or below anyone. He was a true gentle man and was a personal and jovial friend to many. He demonstrated through his life exemplary devotion and honor. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16th at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church (114 Kingsmere Place).
