Carolyn Joanne Barnes
December 11, 1946 – July 12, 2012
Carolyn passed away in St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, after losing her battle with lung cancer. Mom is survived by her children and step-children, Karmen (Bill), David (Rose), Brenda (Cecil), Norm (Janet), Rob (Elaine), Shelly (Bill); her brother, Troy (Marge) Beaver; sister-in-law, Dorothy (George) Claggett; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Carolyn was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Kenneth Barnes; parents Gary and Erma Beaver of Edmonton. She worked hard and built much of her life in Saskatchewan, farming, raising her family, and finally retiring to Delaronde Lake and then Prince Albert areas, where she and Ken made many close friends. Mom’s friends and family were very important to her and she treasured these relationships that were cultivated later in her life. She was very thankful to be surrounded by her loved ones in her final days. Mom chose cremation and at her request there will be no service. The family thanks Mourning Glory Funeral Services for their assistance. The family also thanks the wonderful staff at St. Paul’s Hospital for their care and compassion.
