Ann Kucherhan

February 28, 2019

KUCHERHAN, Ann

(nee Michalycia, Kulyk)

We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother Ann Kucherhan on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Samaritan Place in Saskatoon. She was born on January 8, 1923 to Dora and Joseph Michalycia in Fish Creek, SK, the oldest of 12 children. Ann worked very hard on the two family farms near Krydor and Borden, and had several jobs in Saskatoon. She had to support her family as her husband William Kulyk passed away suddenly at the age of 41. Later in life, Ann married Nick Kucherhan. Ann had 3 children: son Ed Kulyk (deceased Dec. 18, 2018) (Sandra) and family, daughters Leona (Ken) Saunders and family, Marg (Ed) Kucherhan, step-daughter Darlene (Gerald) Wilderman and family. She is also survived by her siblings Jennie, Walter (Darlene), Mike (Ann) and Deanna. Ann was predeceased by her husbands William Kulyk and Nick Kucherhan, as well as numerous other family members. The family would like to thank the staff at Samaritan Place, with a very special thank-you to Michael MacFadden (Nurse Practitioner). No words can describe the difference they made in Ann’s last 4 1/2 months. Ann is peacefully resting with God now. Donations in her memory may be made to Samaritan Place (375 Cornish Road, Saskatoon, SK S7T 0P3) or to a charity of your choice. A Private Family Graveside will be held at a later date. Arrangements in care of John Schachtel – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
