Beatrice Kammerer

January 13, 1931 – July 27, 2017

Beatrice passed away peacefully at the age of 86 with family by her side at Sunnyside Adventist Care Centre. She is survived by her children, Melvin (Judy) Kammerer, Leonard (Pam) Kammerer, Dennis (Barb) Kammerer, Joanne (John) Wilkinson, Janet (Jeff) Holstein, James Kammerer, Dale (Heather) Kammerer; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sister Bernadette Weinkauf; sister-in-law, Lena Volk; brothers-in-law, Marcus Weinkauf, George Hauck and Jerome Boser; numerous nieces and nephews. Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, John Kammerer; parents, Philip and Elizabeth Volk; brother, Tony Volk; sisters, Lena (Paul) Ollenberger, Ida (Pete) Erker, Julia (Bennie) Reiniger, Leona Hauck, Matilda Boser. Beatrice was a loving, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. When she was together with her sisters and brother there was music, singing, laughter and food, and Beatrice was always smiling and very happy. As her children grew, she worked at different businesses in the communities that the family lived in and made many lifelong friends. She was always happiest when she was enjoying time with her family. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimers Society or Sunnyside Adventist Care Centre would be appreciated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1 at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church (114 Kingsmere Blvd). The Rite of Cremation Committal at Woodlawn Cemetery will follow the lunch. The family would like to express their gratitude for the incredible caring and compassionate staff at the Sunnyside Adventist Care Centre. Arrangements in care of John Schachtel – MOURNING GLORY FUNERAL SERVICES (306) 978-5200.
