Carolyne Dennis

June 23, 2018

DENNIS, Carolyne

Carolyne Dennis passed away peacefully in Humboldt, SK on June 23, 2018. Carolyne was born to John and Ustyna Leniuk on a farm near Rama. Mom met dad in Canora and they were married July 19, 1945. In 1946, dad accepted a job in Viscount and they lived there for many years. Mom loved the community and volunteered for causes including fundraising for the new rink. She was an avid curler and golfer. She volunteered in the rink kitchen and helped make afghans for blankets for Canada. She was also a lifelong member of the Eastern Star. She loved to socialize, as well as cook, bake, garden, sew, crochet, needlepoint and knit. After dad passed away, mom continued to live in Viscount until November 2012 where she then moved to Humboldt. Family was priority #1 with mom and she spent many great times with her grandchildren, then great-grandchildren. As mom’s health deteriorated, she moved to St. Mary’s Villa in Humboldt, where she loved the staff. She said they “pampered” her. Carolyne was predeceased by her parents John and Ustyna; siblings Mary, Anne, Pat and Adam; sisters-in-law Violet and Nell; and brothers-in-law Pete, Steve, Joe and Ted. She has left behind her son Barry Season (Greg) (Devon); daughter Nadia (Derek, Cherise, Elijah, Isaiah), Lindsay and Brad (Tyson, Peyton, Jackson) and Jeremy and Maegan (Grady, Cassie, Tanner); good friend Doug; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rest in peace mom. We love you! The Funeral Service for Carolyne will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 1:00 PM at The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints (2616 Louise Street, Saskatoon) with Very Rev.
