Obituary

HAMAND, Dale Andrew

Dale Hamand was born on May 15, 1952 in Blaine Lake, SK and passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020. He started working with the Saskatchewan Liquor Board when he was 18 and was there until his retirement. Dale didn’t need a lot to keep him content. A Rider game two days away was enough to keep him going. He was very passionate about his sports teams; Roughriders, Green Bay Packers, and Colorado Avalanche. There was nothing he was more proud of than his children and grandchildren. Dale was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Angeline Hamand; sisters Renee Truman and Linda Van Gohr. He is survived by his daughter Erica Hamand; son Mitchell Hamand; grandchildren Madison Hamand, Ryder Ratzlaff and Chayce Ratzlaff; his good friend and partner of years, Cathy Van Buskirk; and brother Kevin Hamand. A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor St.) in Saskatoon.
