Dennis Walter Harley

23 March 1932 - 8 June 2017

Dennis is mourned by Teresa (Terry)  his wife of 61 years, daughter Ann, son David, daughter-in-law Lee and grandchildren Jordan and Brett. Born in Lincoln, England, he and Terry were married in 1955 and emigrated to Saskatchewan in 1957. He taught Industrial Arts to Grade 8 students for 34 years, retiring in 1988. Whilst working, he earned a B.Ed and an M.Ed. He was also a Journeyman Carpenter. He trained at Shoreditch Training College for Craft Teachers in England, where he learned to work to the highest standards. After retirement, Dennis enjoyed many activities including working on his house, gardening, photography, making and drinking wine and being a good Dad and Grannydaddy. He was a consummate craftsman in everything he did, holding himself and others to the highest standards. “That’ll do” was never good enough for Dennis. There will be a Celebration of Life later in the summer. If you so wish, please make a donation to the Saskatoon Community Clinic Foundation, 455 2nd Ave N, S7K2C2.
