 DONNA MARIE PELLETIER

December 15, 1943 – July 3, 2018

 

Donna passed away peacefully at St. Paul’s Hospital at the age of 74 years, following a brief struggle with cancer.  She was dearly loved and will be remembered by her children Val Pelletier, Lyle Pelletier, and Carrie (Lee) Zoerb; two grandchildren Carissa and Cole Zoerb; four sisters, Elaine (Bob) Schreiner, Janet Manderscheid, Marlene (Ron)Stewart, Sharon Hohmann (Ben); brother Doug (Sharon) Hohmann as well as numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Harvey, parents Edwin and Marcella Hohmann; step father Bill Hohmann. Donna was born in Humboldt and raised and educated in St Gregor,SK. She married Harvey Pelletier on December 29th, 1962. Their life together had many changes as they moved from City to City with Harvey’s work and tending to their small children. They settled back in Saskatoon and moved to the acreage in the early 80’s and turned it into Circle H Ranch. This ranch turned into a successful, full time career with catering to all sorts of functions. She was a cake decorator for 20 plus years.  They loved to dance and did so much socializing with many people. She loved to garden, fish and had an impeccable collection of angels which she adored. She enjoyed needle point, ceramics, macrimae, and cooking meals and making her famous potato and spinach soups, and rhubarb crisp and chocolate cakes. She especially like her DQ pecan mudslides in her last few weeks. She enjoyed her trips to the casino with her friends the last few years. Her life centered around her children, and especially her grandchildren and their activities. A Private Graveside was held on Friday, July 6th at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation- Palliative Care Unit in Donna’s memory.
