Eileen McPherson

May 2, 2019

Eileen Joan (Parker) McPherson

Eileen, born May 15, 1926, went to join her beloved Don on May 2, 2019.  Left to mourn her loss is her only child, Ron; his wife Marilyn; grandchildren Rob (Sarah) and Meghan (Chris); and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Alexandra, Ben and Sophie.  An English war bride, Eileen came to Canada in 1946.  She and Don made their home in Regina where for many years, “Mrs. Mac” worked at The Bay.  She was also actively involved in the community.  She loved to sing and was a member of the Sweet Adelines.  She and Don had many friends in Regina and enjoyed a busy social life.  Some of her favourite activities were dancing, camping, golf, bowling and traveling.  She and Don made many trips back to England to visit family and friends.  After retirement, Don and Eileen became Texas snowbirds.  They gathered a large circle of friends and were involved in many activities.  Eileen became the Director of the Park Chorus.  Don died in 2001, and shortly thereafter Eileen moved to a condo in Regina.  She loved living at Highland Manor and soon had many new friends.  She started a singing group known as the Hummingbirds.  After illness in 2015, Eileen moved to Preston Park in Saskatoon to be closer to Marilyn and Ron.  Once again, she found new friends and joined in activities there until declining health made that impossible.  Eileen has outlived many of her family and friends but those left behind remember her as a busy and involved woman who was always singing.  Eileen will be buried in Regina next to her Don.  Arrangements in care of Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200
