Emmanuel Bertsch passed away peacefully at St. Ann’s Nursing Home on Monday, September 3, 2018 with family at his bedside. He was born August 1, 1927 in Scott, SK to Peter and Odelia Bertsch (Kraft). He grew up in Tramping Lake, where he met Veronica (Meier), his loving wife of nearly 65 years. They farmed for many years before moving to Kindersley, where he built many homes and renovations. With three children: Caroline, Douglas (Gwen) and Janet, they moved to Saskatoon where he held the role of building inspector until retirement. He loved and was loved by his wife, three children, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, as well as many, many dear friends. The last surviving sibling, he was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and four sisters. A special thank you goes out to the staff at St. Ann’s, especially Sylvia and Pat M. for their loving care. Your kindness will always be remembered. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church, (1902 Munroe Ave, Saskatoon).
