FREEDEN, Gary William

Gary was born December 19, 1935 in Saskatoon, SK. He passed away peacefully on May 9, 2019 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon. Gary was predeceased by his mother Zella Freeden; father Dutch Freeden; brother-in-law Keith Geddes; sisters-in-law Marguerite Freeden and Bev Freeden; and step-daughter-in-law Margaretrose Willms. He is survived by his wife Sheila (nee Willms) Freeden; stepson Rob Willms and family R.J. (Amanda), Devin (Victoria) and their daughter Emma; Raylene (Malcolm Wimberley) and their son Orion; Jordon (Katrina), Tanisyn (Joel) Boucher; Stepson Scot Willms; Stepson Bruce (Maria) Willms and family Tyson (Lanae) Willms and Brandon Willms; Brothers and sisters Jean Geddes (Vern Morgan), Lorne (Elaine) Freeden and their family Darryl (Lynn), Wes (Pat), Warren (Linda), Kevin (Stephanie); Gord Freeden and sons Duane (Trina), Brian Freeden, Betty (Rudy) Gjevre and sons Todd (Michelle) and Blair (Karen). Gary is also survived by many great nieces and nephews. Gary worked as a painter at the Department of National Defense at Detachment Dundurn. Gary was also a Charter Member of the Dundurn Lions Club. He was active in many community services. He was well known for his beautiful Christmas displays and his flower gardens. The Funeral Service for Gary will be held at Dundurn Untied Church (300 2nd Street, Dundurn, SK) on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 2:00PM.
