It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Geoffrey at Central Haven Special Care Home on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the age of 86. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Aurore, and his children; Elaine (Daryl) Dawson, Ron (Cathy), Len, Denise (Bob) Gilewicz, Bob (Chris); fourteen grandchildren: Erin (R.J.) Doobay, Kristin (Greg) Hetterly, Paul Dawson (Elyse Lalonde), Jamie (Kevin) Wright, Jenn (Matt) MacMillan, Michelle (Michael) Lauen, Tyler (Cara) Kuzma, Rebecca Kuzma (Joshua Watt) and Ashley Kuzma, Mathew, Jocelyn, and Steven Gilewicz, Dylan and Anson Charlebois; and 12 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother, Louis (Lee) and their daughter. He was predeceased by a grandson and a niece. Geoffrey was born on August 20, 1932 and lived the majority of his life in Saskatoon. He was a roofer and sheet metal worker, and owned Charlebois Roofing Ltd. for many years. He belonged to the Kinsmen and K40 club and was a trustee for the Separate School Board. He retired to Cochrane AB and then to Ajijic, Mexico. Dad and Mom traveled extensively and went to many countries including 6 continents and saw the glaciers of Antarctica. Dad was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles, loved to play with the grandchildren, liked to play cribbage and other card games, and enjoyed fishing and camping. The family would like to thank the staff of Central Haven Special Care Home for the care Dad received for the last 10 months. As per Geoffrey's wishes, no funeral will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the RUH Foundation-Parkinson Research Fund or to Central Haven Special Care Home, 1020 Ave. I North, Saskatoon SK S7L 2H7.
