LETKEMAN, John Elmer

John went to be with his Lord and Saviour at Saskatoon City Hospital on October 5, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was always a farmer at heart and farmed near Shell Lake, SK as long as his health allowed. John and Anne moved to Saskatoon in 1996. He was very committed to his faith and always trusted in God. He loved serving in the church and in the community. He was a loving and kind man who dearly loved his family. John is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Anne; his daughters Elaine (Dwight) King and their family - Robin and Mike Lowdermilk, Patrick and Ashley King, and their families; Maureen (Dean) Dynna, and his grandsons, Andrew and Ben Dynna; his brothers Alvin (Theresa) and Sam (Lorraine), sister Minnie Garner, sister-in-law Colleen Zuk, brother-in-law Larry Garman, plus numerous nieces and nephews who fondly remember him as “Uncle Johnny”. He was predeceased by his parents John and Sarah Letkeman, his brother Arthur Letkeman, his sisters Elma Nelson and Louise Garman plus several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and other relatives from both his and Anne’s family. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Lions Hall (2 Avenue E) Shell Lake, SK with Rev. Brent Cooper presiding. A Private Family Interment will take place prior to the Service in Shell Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Shell Lake Cemetery Care Fund (Box 280 Shell Lake, SK S0J 2G0) or Living Waters Camp (1303 Jackson Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7H 2M9).
