Joe passed away peacefully at St. Paul’s Hospital on July 5, 2019 with his wife at his side. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; children Cal, Kim (Amparo), Jay (Jodi), Jill (Mel); step-children Scott, Lora (Jim); siblings Walter (Maevis), AnnaMae (Paul); sisters-in-law Anne, Sharon, Joan and Judy (Bob); grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents Elmer and Helen, brothers Ed and Don, stepson Mark, daughter-in-law Davina and brother-in-law Dale. Joe was born in Gull Lake. He played hockey with the Swift Current Indians and Prince George Mohawks. He was a big fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs. He coached ball and hockey for many years. Joe enjoyed fishing, golfing and playing cards. He ranched near Pierceland before taking Industrial Mechanics at SIAST, subsequently being employed at Agrium Potash Mine until his retirement. Joe did a lot of travelling and the family spent many summers at Big Shell Lake at the log cabin that Joe built. Uncle Joe will be missed by his great-nephew Tyler and great-niece Jessielyn, who could always bring a smile to his face.
