The passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Lawrence, age 90 of Saskatoon, occurred on Monday, May 21 at St. Paul’s Hospital. Lawrence is survived by his wife Elaine (nee Schwinghammer) of 63 years; son David and his sons Christopher and Evan (Kat); son Blair (Laurie) and his daughter Hillary (Brandon); son Lawrie (Rhonda) and their children Chantal (Lee), Beckett, Michael (Roxanne) and great-granddaughter Zoeline; Rhonda’s son Adam (Melissa) and children Katherine and Benjamin; son-in-law Lyle; and daughter Breanne. He is also survived by his brother Al (Dot); sisters Dickie, Alice (Al), Margery, Darlene (Geoff); sisters-in-law Jean and Aline. He was predeceased by his daughter Sharon; daughter-in-law Brenda; mother Rose; father Caspar; brothers John, Andrew, Ed, Clarence and Francis; sisters Cecilia and Anne; brothers-in-law Rusty and Bill; and sisters-in-law Stella, Marie, Dorothy and Gen. Lawrence was born in Englefeld, SK on September 23, 1927 to Caspar and Rose Schulte. He was the 7th of 13 children and raised on the family farm. In 1947 he entered the College of Pharmacy in Saskatoon and graduated in 1951. After working at Pinder’s Drug Stores he operated the Bruno Pharmacy from 1953 to 1996. Lawrence truly loved his retirement at Wakaw Lake and the time spent with his lake family. Sadly missed and forever remembered. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 28, 2018 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family (123 Nelson Rd.) in Saskatoon with Very Rev. Fr. David Tumback. A Private Family Interment will be held at a later date. The family would appreciate that memorial donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (1738 Quebec Ave #26, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9) or to the Saskatoon Cancer Centre (20 Campus Dr, Saskatoon, SK S7N 4H4).
