Linda Anne Jacek

July 26, 1949 – July 7, 2018

It is with profound sadness and grateful hearts that we, the family of Linda Jacek, age 68, announce her sudden passing surrounded by the love of her husband and daughters on July 7th, 2018 – one day after celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary with her faithful and loving husband Richard.  Linda was the only child of Hugo and Clara Bitz (Loehndorf), born on July 26, 1949.  Being the only child, a lot of her cousins welcomed her into their families as their own.  She had a special place in her heart for her Uncle Phoeby and Auntie Annie’s family.  We all have always felt a part of their family.  Growing up in Allan, Mom’s fun-loving spirit and wonderful sense of humour gained her many lifelong friends.  During Mom and Dad’s 50 years of love, they went from a family of two to a family of fifteen.  Mom is survived by her devoted husband Richard, who was her protector till the very end.  She will be terribly missed by us, her three daughters and our husbands – Bonnie & Dave McLaren, Tammy & Trevor Odishaw, and Keri & Bryan Beebe.  Mom was our role model, never judging our choices – only guiding us through the peaks and valleys of life.  No one loved being a grandma more than Mom, and she had a special bond with each of her seven grandchildren – Kelly and Spencer McLaren; Alexander, Avery and Ainsley Clark; and Parker and Chelsea Beebe.  She is also survived by Richard’s siblings – Regina, Joseph, Dianne, Dorothy, Louise, John, Joani and Caroline.  Mom dedicated her life to her family, being a constant support to her parents, husband, daughters and grandchildren.  Mom made so many wonderful, genuine friends over the years and we know they feel this loss as much as we do.  Mom was predeceased by her parents, Hugo and Clara Bitz and her parents-in-law, Tony and Regina Jacek.    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saskatchewan Cancer Agency (200-4545 Parliament Ave., Regina, SK, Regina, SK S4W 0G3), ALS Society of Saskatchewan (2430-8th Ave., Regina, SK S4R 5E3) or St. Aloysius Cemetery Fund (P.O. Box 220, Allan, SK S0K 0C0).  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on July 14th, 2018 at St. Aloysius Church in Allan. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Allan, SK.  We are grateful Mom is free from her suffering and enjoying heaven and all its glory in recognition of this please come dressed in bright colored clothes as our Mom always looked so stylish. Mom would understand if you can’t be there to say goodbye due to summer holidays.  So enjoy the time you have planned with your loved ones, tell them you love them, hug them tight - in honour of our beautiful Mom, who was loved by so many.  Arrangements are in care of John Schachtel – Mourning Glory Funeral Service (306) 978-5200
