TOLES, Lindsay Amber
1982 – 2019
With broken hearts we announce the loss of our dearly loved daughter Lindsay on March 26, 2019. She is survived by her parents John and Joyanne Toles, siblings Brad (Jennifer, and their children Michael and Eloise) Lawlor, Linette (James) Savage, uncle Ron and aunt Carole Toles, Aunt Myrna Toles, her four cousins and their families, and her special kitties, Paisley and Socks. She was predeceased by her grandparents Ron and Edna Smith, Ken and Hazel Toles, as well as uncle Fred Toles. Lindsay was born and spent her life in Saskatoon. After high school she trained in computer graphics and web design through SIAST. She was an accomplished swimmer, earned her Canada Cord through Girl Guides and Pathfinders and belonged to Beta Sigma Phi until her health prevented her from attending meetings. She loved spending time with her mother, especially developing scrapbooks of family, pets and special holidays. She struggled with illnesses during most of her adult life, mainly related to hydrocephalus and the acquired brain injury caused by her many neurosurgeries. In spite of this, she had a strong will to survive, was friendly, maintained a positive outlook, and always had a keen sense of humour. She was thrilled to be an “auntie”. She loved her pets and was a supporter of humane animal treatment. Thanks to her family doctor Oksana Yastina and the neurosurgery doctors and staff at RUH for the special care they provided. Donations in her memory to the Saskatoon SPCA or to brain injury research would be appreciated. The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor St.) in Saskatoon. The Committal will take place at St. John’s Columbarium. Arrangements in care of David Schurr – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
