April 18, 1943 – March 1, 2018
With profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Margaret Alice Theresa Afseth, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and GG, on the morning of March 1, 2018. Born in Humboldt, SK on April 18, 1943, she resided in Outlook until after the death of her beloved Wesley, her husband and best friend. She then moved to Saskatoon. She will now join him and enter the heavenly realm to be with many other loved ones who have gone before her. Margaret was a Christian and believed after death came life with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Though we will love and miss her beyond words, we join in the faith and joy that she is at peace with her Lord. Margaret was a warrior. She survived brain cancer and heart surgery. Her will to live and maintain her own independence gave her a strong, vibrant spirit. With such a strong and stubborn personality, Margaret had a never-give-up persona. This allowed her to become an artist and writer; publishing nine novels and painting many beautiful artworks. She was the true definition of courage. She loved butterflies, to her they represented endurance, change, and hope; that death was not the final, it was through resurrection that life would begin. She is truly our butterfly. Rest in peace and soar with the wings God has given you. We love and will miss you forever. A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 1:00PM at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor Street, Saskatoon) (wheel chair accessible). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements in care of Chelsea Krentz – Mourning Glory Funeral Service (306)978-5200.
