Born December 10, 1918 in Wisbech, England and travelled to Canada by ship in 1920, where she was given the distinction of “Most Beautiful Baby on Board”. Madeline was predeceased by her husband James Wylie, brothers William, Robert, Phillip, sister Florence, sisters-in-law Lois, Lois and Millie. Grannie is remembered by daughter Beth, grandchildren Heather, Shannon & Joe, James & Robin, great-grandchildren Jesse, Lindsey, Joshua, Maxwell, Emma and Katie, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Her extended family is amazing, all who knew her called her Grannie. She was loved and she loved right back. Her time was spent with the ladies of St. David’s United Church where families of the community joined together and passed friendships through generations. She spoke often of the homestead in Netherhill, SK and was proud that it is still in the family and is beautiful and thriving. She enjoyed knitting, baking (Grannie buns and loaves) and gardening. Upon retiring from Eatons she took up travelling, touring Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Hawaii and the East Coast of Canada. At Grannie’s request no funeral service will be held. Arrangements in care of David Schurr – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
