WIELER, Randolph Grant
May 4, 1959 – March 9, 2019
Randy passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 59. Randy was predeceased by his father Henry Wieler; parents-in-law Victor and Anne Sadowick; brothers-in-law Grant Sadowick, Gerald Brochu; and great-nephew Jack Papic. He is lovingly survived by his wife Vicki of 38 years; daughters Megan Cuthbert (Sean), Erin Wieler, Lauren Quintal (Daniel); grandchildren Bennett, Sutton, Harrison, Mara, Mya; mother Berle Wieler; sisters Agnes Thompson (Louis), Elsie Beggs (Bryan), Judith Moldenhauer (Ivan); sister-in-law Janice Harasymchuk (Rob); and numerous well loved nieces and nephews. Randy was born in Swift Current, SK. He moved to Colonsay at age 4, where he lived for 53 years. He was a proud journeyman electrician for more than 30 years. He was the happiest when he was surrounded by his girls, grandchildren and his many nieces and nephews. Despite many setbacks throughout his cancer diagnosis he persevered with hope, a positive attitude and a sense of humour. Randy will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew him. A special thank-you to the staff of Palliative Care for their support during his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Close To Home Campaign for Hospice and End of Life Care. A Celebration of Randy’s Life will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Colonsay Community Hall with a service and social to follow as per Randy’s wishes.
