KEMMER, Robert (Bob) James
March 10, 1933 – September 8, 2018
Bob was born to Rueben and Elsie Kemmer and was raised on the family farm in the Hanley district. He went on to live in Saskatoon where he worked for the Department of Highways for his entire career. Bob is survived by his wife Grace, daughter Marie (Bill), son Bruce (Pam), and son Philip (Linda); grandchildren Jessalynn (Mike), Carlee (Ben), Mitchel and Devon; great-grandchildren Boston, Finlee and Brielle. Also surviving are Bob’s five brothers, George (Marlene), Charlie (Donna), Doug, Donald (Gladys) and Frank. Bob especially appreciated his many neighborhood friends who faithfully spent quality time with him during his illness. The family is grateful to Dr. Malik Awan and his staff for their kindness and compassionate care of Bob over the past two years. Special thanks to the Saskatoon Cancer Centre doctors and nurses, Home Care nurses and Saskatoon’s finest EMTs, Firefighters and Police for their quick response and professional service. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Windsor Chapel – Lower Level (704 Windsor St.) with a program beginning at 2:00 p.m. A Private Interment will take place at a later date. Please consider donations to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan or to the Saskatoon Cancer Centre in lieu of flowers.
