William James Wyness

March 19, 1924 – February 9, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved uncle William James Wyness on Friday, February 9, 2018, at the age of 93.  He was predeceased by his parents Alexander Wyness and Ella Florence (McIntosh) and his four siblings: John (Violet) Wyness, Evelyn (Percy) Waddell, Gertrude (Ben) Other, and Florence (Joe) Flem.  He will be lovingly remembered by his nephew Joseph (Barbara) Fleming; niece Linda Lomax (Allan Munro); great-nephews Matthew (Jessica) Ross, Joey Fleming, Jarvis, Bobbie and Johnny Lomax; great- niece Victoria Lomax; great-great nephew Logan Ross; great-great niece Layla Ross; and extended family Jada and Mikey.  William farmed with his father in the Shoal Lake and Solsgirth areas of Manitoba. He was especially proud of always having a team of heavy working horses. After retiring in the early Seventies he moved to Saskatchewan to be near his youngest sister Florence.  Soft-spoken, tenacious and friendly, William was always eager to lend a helping hand. Known for his sense of humour and kind concern he left a lasting impression on everyone. Affectionately known by family as ‘B’  or  ‘Bo’ he will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.  A Memorial Service will be held at the SAAL Room at the Central Haven Care Home (1020 Avenue I North) at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018.   Special thanks to Mindy and staff at Central Haven Special Care Home for their compassion and care. Arrangements in care of John Schachtel - Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
