ROBERT, Aline

1931 – 2021

 

We are saddened to announce the passing of Aline Robert on May 2, 2021 a few months short of her 90th Birthday. Aline was predeceased by her parents, brothers Aurele Robert, Louis Robert and sister Jeanne Mclean. She is survived by brothers Roland (Mina) and Leon and her sisters Lisa Krushelinski, Rita Crowe, Jeannette (Orville) McKee and Yvonne (Gerry) Caudle. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and their offspring. Aline was born in Quebec and moved to Saskatchewan with her parents in 1935 where they settled on farmland just north of Saskatoon. After moving to Saskatoon, she worked for many years at the Bessborough Hotel. She moved to Calgary in 1967 and worked for a printing company. She became a member of the Legion where she enjoyed the comradeship. Dancing and played Bingo. She returned to Saskatoon the summer of 2008 after retiring and lived with her Sister Jeannette and Brother-in-law Orville. She was a member of the Army Navy Club and spent many Saturdays with her sisters enjoying the music and comradeship. She was very generous and kind and loved the many visits from her family. She will be missed greatly. Her wish was to be cremated and interred with her parents. A special thanks to Valerie and Terry Popadynec for looking after Aline during her final days. There will be no funeral because of Covid-19 but the family will get together at a later date to remember Aline.
