Let’s go Someplace
Brian Lee left this world peacefully on August 12, 2021, with his wife (me), daughter, and sister by his side. Standing in the wings were family (grandmother, father, brother, aunt and uncles, nieces and nephews) and a wealth of friends from all walks of life and all around the world. Brian attended Aden Bowman Collegiate (never let me forget he was a “Bowman Bear”) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Saskatchewan. He loved wrestling, motorcycles, cycling, hanging with his friends, and anything that would make me cringe. Brian had a personality larger than life. He played hard, worked hard, loved hard, he was fearless and brave. There was never a dull moment as his cup was always more than half full. He was the best at keeping in touch with friends, his family, he was the ultimate party planner, the ultimate connector. Before his accident 16 years ago, at the age of 37, he accomplished more than most people do in a lifetime. But being injured was hard, it was really hard. It rocked our world and took us places I never imagined we would go. I want to thank everyone that stood by his side in the difficult times, all those that cared for him and loved him. His spirit will live on in all of us as he has shaped, molded, and changed us all. But now, there are no more struggles, and he can shake up the heavens and beam his smile and love down to all that are mourning his loss. Thank you Brian for taking us on this journey, till we meet again.
