PAINTER, Brian Norman
It is with profound sadness that we announce Brian’s passing after a lengthy battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in Saskatoon. Brian will be forever remembered by his mother, Marie Painter, his three children, Lyle, Dean and Holly, their spouses, and their mother, Ardelle Painter. He will be greatly missed by his 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and countless other friends and family. Brian was predeceased by his father, Norman Painter, and sister, Sheila Painter.
Brian was born in Humboldt on July 10, 1949 to Norman and Marie and lived a long and busy life. He was the oldest of 8 siblings and started his own family with Ardelle (née Zentner) in 1968. His career spanned the prairies and included a variety of occupations – always working with his hands. He is best known in Watson as a local contractor and fixer of all things! Although he talked often of retirement, he never actually got around to doing it, still working in the fall of 2020. Brian enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards, and visiting and was happiest at Marean Lake riding a snowmobile. Like his laugh and his sneeze, Brian was larger than life.
No funeral services are planned at this time. Please consider making a memorial donation in Brian’s honour to the Watson Legion (Box 687, Watson, S0K 4V0 or etransfer to legion272@sasktel.net). Arrangements in care of Ashley Knash – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
