It is with sadness that the family of Leslie Lewis Knittig announce his sudden passing on May 31, 2021, at Saskatoon, SK. He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, children, and grandson. Debra (Sparks), Erin (Darrick) Dawson Ginther, Andrea Knittig.

He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his siblings, nieces and nephews; Brother Duane (Anita) Knittig, Dylan, Braden and Carter; Sisters, Rhonda (Robert) Poelzer, Alysa and Branden; Loriann Kells, Mikayla and Brooklyn; and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in the Knittig and Bley families; and the in-laws of the Sparks family; Brenda (Paul) Jones, Sharon Dotschkat, Shannon (Arden) Signarowski, Kevin (Elaine) Sparks, Roger Sparks; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephew.

He was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Marie (Bley) Knittig. 

Leslie was born on May 3, 1960 in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. He attended school in Annaheim, SK. Les moved to Saskatoon, SK in the fall of 1980. He met Debra Sparks in the winter of 1981 and they married on October 1, 1983. Les and Deb had two daughters; Erin born in 1985 and Andrea born in 1987. Les farmed his land in Daphne, SK until the early 2000’s. In addition to farming, he was a heavy duty mechanic and welder by trade.

There will be a family graveside service held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Saskatoon, SK.
