Obituary

WOLF, Walter “Wally”

The passing of Wally Wolf, 84 years, occurred on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 in the presence of his loving family. Wally was born, one of 12 siblings, in the district of Dundurn. He moved to Saskatoon where he met Flo and raised his family. Wally spent most of his career with the City of Saskatoon in the Assessor’s Department. He is survived by his daughters Colleen, Brenda (Paul) Newbigging, Renee (Derek) Neis, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and his sister Orpha. In Wally’s younger years, he was involved with his partners in the Manhattan Ballroom, loved listening to and playing old time music, playing cards and hosting many house parties. There were many memories at Bell’s Beach as well. Wally’s life was project oriented and his motto was “Get the job done first!”, and then time to socialize. Wally was known to enjoy a drink! He restored antique cars and enjoyed his woodworking shop where everything was done efficiently and had its own place. He built and renovated many homes, two of which were family homes on Dufferin. Wally was predeceased by his wife Florence, son Douglas, granddaughter Shauna and also by his brothers Ray, Arnold, Len, Elmer, Ed and Adam (in infancy) and his sisters Tillie, Minnie, Elsie and Evelyn. We would like to thank Dr. Friggstad and the caring staff in Palliative Care. At Dad’s request, there will be no formal funeral service. A Come and Go will follow in the days ahead. A place and time to be determined. Cremation arrangements in care of David Schurr – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
