Obituary

DRAEGER, Wilbert Gordon

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Wilbert Draeger in the early morning of December 30, 2020. Wilbert was born February 19, 1942 in Saskatoon, SK. He is survived by his wife Doris Draeger of Saskatoon; daughter JoAnn Barclay (Brent) Barclay; grandchildren Jorja and Dray Barclay of Prince George, BC, Brooklyn Udell Draeger, Edmonton, AB, Braeden Udell Draeger (Randene Udell), Viscount, SK, Kaleb Draeger (Jessica Davis), Prince George, BC; brother Elmer Draeger, Saskatoon, SK; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sons Neil Draeger and Kevin Draeger (July 29, 2019); mother Ida; father Julius; brothers Jimmy and Ewald; and sister Eva Draeger.

Wilbert was born in Saskatoon, SK and spent his early years on a farm near Aberdeen, SK. Family and friends have always been important to him.

Wilbert spent the majority of his career working for the Credit Union and worked in Smeaton, La Ronge, Wakaw and then Albertville, SK before retiring in Saskatoon, SK.

As a family some of our most cherished memories were spending our summers out at the lake swimming, boating, fishing and waiting for Dad to get off work and drive to the cabin so we could knee board and water ski till the sun went down.

At his request there will be no service. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, he will be laid to rest with a private family gathering, with his son at a later date in Melfort, SK.
